The Kids Fest Scavenger Hunt (“Scavenger Hunt”) is open to individuals participating at Best Kids Fest – North Shore.
Participants may participate as:
A parent or legal guardian may register and participate on behalf of one or more children.
Participation in the Scavenger Hunt is voluntary. Families are welcome to participate together, but having children is not a requirement for an adult participant.
For participants under 18 years of age, participation must be with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
To participate, an individual or their parent/legal guardian must obtain a Scavenger Hunt Registration Form and provide the required contact information.
Participants must visit the designated Scavenger Hunt locations at Best Kids Fest and collect all seven (7) stamps, represented by the required stickers, stamps, or other designated completion marks.
A completed Scavenger Hunt Registration Form must contain all seven required stamps/marks to qualify for the grand-prize lottery.
The Organizer may verify completed Scavenger Hun Registration Form before accepting them into the lottery.
Participation in the Scavenger Hunt and submission of the required registration information constitute the participant’s consent to these Terms & Conditions and to the collection, use and storage of the registration information for the purposes described in these Terms & Conditions.
By registering for and participating in the Scavenger Hunt, the participant acknowledges that their registration information may be used by Wonder Wonders Foundation and Best Kids Fest to:
No separate consent checkbox or additional consent form is required to participate in the Scavenger Hunt Registration Form. Participation itself constitutes consent to the collection and use of registration information for the purposes described above.
Wonder Wonders Foundation and Best Kids Fest do not sell participants’ personal information.
Registration information will be used by Wonder Wonders Foundation and Best Kids Fest for their own purposes and will not be provided to sponsors for the sponsors’ independent marketing purposes unless separately authorized or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Participants may withdraw consent to ongoing marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the communication or by contacting the Organizer. Withdrawal of marketing consent does not affect the validity of an entry that has already been submitted.

The Organizer will collect and use only information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in these Terms & Conditions.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and the privacy practices of Wonder Wonders Foundation.
Where a participant is under 18 years of age, the parent or legal guardian participating with or registering the child confirms that they have the authority to provide consent on behalf of the child for participation in the Scavenger Hunt and for the collection and use of information as described in these Terms & Conditions.
Where a parent or legal guardian provides registration information for a child, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate.
Upon completing all seven Scavenger Hunt locations, participants are eligible to receive one (1) coupon for a free ice cream at participating McDonald’s restaurants on the North Shore.
The ice cream coupon is a participation reward and is separate from the grand-prize lottery.
The coupon is subject to the terms, conditions, availability and redemption requirements specified on the coupon and by the participating McDonald’s restaurants.
Only one ice cream coupon will be provided per completed Scavenger Hunt Registration Form.
The Organizer reserves the right to limit the total number of coupons available based on the quantity supplied by participating McDonald’s restaurants.
Every eligible completed Scavenger Hunt Registration Form that has been properly registered and submitted will receive one (1) entry into the grand-prize lottery.
Grand prizes will be provided by Kids Fest sponsors Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier!
Winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries.
There are no advantages, preferences, additional chances, or special consideration based on age, gender, family status, number of children, registration time, or any other characteristic.
The lottery is based solely on random selection among eligible entries.
Each participant may submit a maximum of one (1) completed Scavenger Hunt Registration Form for the grand-prize lottery.
Where a parent or legal guardian registers multiple children on the same Registration Form, that Registration Form constitutes one (1) lottery entry.
Duplicate, incomplete, illegible, altered, photocopied, or otherwise invalid entries may be disqualified.
The Organizer reserves the right to reject any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Prize winners will be selected within 14 days after the event at random from all eligible entries received during the Scavenger Hunt.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
The Organizer’s decision regarding the eligibility of entries and the selection of winners is final, subject to applicable law.
Selected winners may be contacted using the contact information provided during registration.
If a selected winner cannot be contacted within 5 days, does not respond, or is determined to be ineligible, the Organizer may select an alternate winner by random draw.
If a selected winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded through or with the consent of the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
Prizes are not transferable, refundable, or exchangeable for cash unless otherwise stated by the Organizer or the applicable prize sponsor.
Prizes may be supplied by sponsors, partners, or other organizations supporting Kids Fest.
Prize sponsors are not responsible for the administration of the Scavenger Hunt unless specifically stated otherwise.
Individual prizes may be subject to additional terms, conditions, restrictions, warranties, expiration dates, or redemption requirements imposed by the prize sponsor.
The Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater approximate value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, extend, or cancel the Scavenger Hunt, including the prize lottery, where circumstances beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control make this necessary.
Such circumstances may include severe weather, safety concerns, technical problems, insufficient prize availability, venue restrictions, or other circumstances affecting the operation of the event.
Any significant changes will be communicated through appropriate Kids Fest channels where reasonably possible.
Participants must follow the instructions of Kids Fest staff, volunteers, participating businesses and Scavenger Hunt station operators.
Participants must not enter restricted areas, interfere with festival operations, damage property, or engage in behaviour that creates a safety risk to themselves or others.
The Scavenger Hunt is intended to be a family-friendly activity. The Organizer may disqualify a participant or invalidate an entry where the participant engages in unsafe, disruptive, fraudulent, or inappropriate conduct.
Participants are responsible for keeping their Scavenger Hunt Registration Form safe.
The Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced Registration Forms.
If a Registration Form is lost, the Organizer may, at its discretion, issue a replacement Registration Form; however, previously collected stamps may not be transferable to the replacement Registration Form and must be collected again.

The Organizer may also refuse participation to individuals who attempt to interfere with the fair operation of the Scavenger Hunt.
By obtaining a Scavenger Hunt Registration Form, providing the required registration information, and participating in the Scavenger Hunt, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Participation in the Scavenger Hunt constitutes consent to the collection and use of registration information for the purposes described in these Terms & Conditions, including communications and marketing by Wonder Wonders Foundation and Best Kids Fest regarding their own events, programs, educational initiatives, activities and opportunities.

Participants may withdraw their consent to receive ongoing marketing communications from Wonder Wonders Foundation and Best Kids Fest at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in an electronic communication or by contacting the Organizer.
Withdrawal of marketing consent does not invalidate a previously submitted Scavenger Hunt entry or any prize already awarded.
